The global challenge for procurement within our Clients Company is to secure uninterrupted supply of goods, materials and services to our businesses, while creating value for the business. Value will be created by improving total cost of ownership, leveraging buys on global and regional scale and by reducing procurement costs .The procurement costs will be reduced by standardizing and optimizing the procurement working processes.
Procurement Europe is part of the Global Procurement Organization that is reporting into the Global Corporate Shared Services organization.
The mission of Procurement Europe is to lead and execute all regional Procurement activities for all Europe based Clients locations and business units by:
Securing surety of supply for all materials, parts and services in a safe way in line with customer specification.
Adding value to the Business by leveraging our regional buy and supporting the leveraging of the global buy.
Satisfying the internal customers.
Supplier Management to create competitive advantages for the customers (innovation).
Developing & implementing sourcing strategies for European regional and local categories in order to maximize value for our Clients Clientele.
Ownership of an efficient End to End Procurement process including inventory management across Europe.
Establishing one standard way of working across the Europe in line with the new global standards, making maximum use of internal and external best practices.
Reports to the Director Procurement Europe being part of the European Procurement Management Team.

The Challenge
Lead a group of Procurement professionals that are responsible for leveraging the indirect categories across Europe. Indirect consist of Technical goods & Services, Facility Goods & Services, Energy (SIP) and CAPEX.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies across Europe in good alignment with our customers delivering customer satisfaction and added value in line with the Business targets.
Secure alignment with the other global procurement departments, Clients customers and suppliers.
Ensure compliance to regional compliance, global standards, policies and procedures including EHS.
Optimize total cost of ownership through spend and market analysis, execution of category plans and negotiation.
Functional lead several regional cross-functional teams (representatives of internal customers).
Maintain a close network with industry leaders in the regional supply market.

Your Profile
Academic degree in engineering or business administration.
10 years experience in the Chemicals or industrial environment.
A minimum of 3 year procurement experience, preferably in the field of technical indirects (MRO, CAPEX and Services).
3 years management experience leading a small team of professionals.
Wide professional and commercial knowledge of category management.
Good knowledge of supply chain processes preferable procurement processes.
Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Demonstrated success in people management.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, proven capability to built bridges.
Demonstrated strong Change management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good cultural awareness.
