Our Client is an international organisation with a team of practical, highly motivated professionals who share a passion for water and technology. Our passion has made us what we are today: a world-class marine contractor. Our Offshore Department is looking for a (Senior) Technical Purchaser.
What the job involves:
As a (Senior) Technical Purchaser, you will be responsible for obtaining bids from contractors and suppliers during the acquisition phase of a project. You will help draft the relevant technical specifications and contractual terms and conditions. You will select the best subcontractors and suppliers for the project, make agreements with them and achieve maximum results. You will consult continuously with the acquisitions and budget staff. You will update and improve the knowledge database and see that the relevant documents are filed properly.
What we’re looking for
You have a completed secondary vocational degree (MTS mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent), preferably supplemented by NEVI 1 and/or 2 (purchasing qualification). You have ample experience working for a technical purchasing department in the offshore and/or marine contracting industry and working with automated purchasing systems. You also have the necessary expertise and experience in the contractual aspects of purchasing, and you must be an accurate commercial team player. You are enthusiastic, capable of separating main issues from side issues, and at your best in a dynamic environment. You also have a good command of Dutch and English.
